Missions
Cornerstone Bible Church supports several missionaries both at home and abroad.CBC members have also participated in short and long-term missions and ministry projects.
Jeremy and Lisa Bollens have been staff members with Campus Crusade for Christ for 12 years. They are currently serving at Texas Tech University (TechCru). Their mission is to turn lost college students into Christ-centered laborers. Jeremy and Lisa facilitate meetings, leadership development, small group Bible Studies, retreats, conferences and summer projects. Jeremy is also the Director of Youth for Cornerstone Bible Church. He and Lisa have three daughters; Madelyn, Katelyn and Laney.
Taylor and Meredith Lassiter serve as Awana Outreach Missionaries to North Texas. With the North Texas Missionaries and Ministry Team, they oversee Awana events, trainings, and care for over 500 churches with Awana in North Texas. Taylor is a former Awana Clubber and earned his Citation Award in 2003, and has been serving as a US Missionary since 2008. Taylor and Meredith live in Denton, Texas and have two boys, Timothy and Caleb.
Mike and Stephanie Edsall have been on staff with the Navigators for 31 years, and ministered at Texas Tech University in Lubbock for several years. Currently Mike is the NavFusion Coordinator for the Pacific Northwest, which recruits new campuses/leaders and provides development opportunities to them through visits, retreats, conferences and short-term missions. He and Stephanie are also Regional Trainer Coaches and train new staff members in Oregon and Washington. The Edsalls support discipleship and develop partnerships between regional and international Navigator ministries and other ministries. Stephanie is also very involved with LifeSprings Women's Ministry. Mike and Stephanie have three grown children and 3 grandchildren.
"Andrew" is currently working in the Middle East with a team that hopes to plant churches there.
Chuck and Karla Topp represent Central American Mission (CAM) in Mexico City. They have been involved in evangelism and discipleship for 18 years, and minister in the Bible Church of Ciudad Azteca (Mexico City). Chuck preaches and disciples men and couples while Karla teaches kids and leads womens Bible studies, and both are involved in counseling and mentoring. The church has sent missionaries to Uruguay and Turkey, and Chuck and Karla are praying that members of a Bible study that Chuck and another church leader teach will develop into a new church.
Rich and Paula Barnds have served the Lord as church planters in Europe since 1987. They were involved with the International Chapel of Vienna and the Eastern European Bible Institute, and were instrumental in starting several churches in Croatia. They are presently affiliated with Biblical Ministries Worldwide and serve at Littleport Evangelical Church in Littleport, England where Rich is pastor and both are involved in evangelism, discipleship and leadership training. Their goal is to see LEC develop into a "gospel lighthouse" with its own national pastor. Rich and Paula particularly enjoy reaching children through "The TreeHouse Club" ministry, Holiday Clubs (VBS) and youth activities.
